About Me

I never intended to stay in L.A. I came here just to go to school. But now ten years, married seven, two kids, one dog, four chickens and a crazy little house  later here I am.
Not only did I never intend to live in L.A. I certainly never intended to become one of those west side, prius driving, rain water collecting, organic local food eating Angelenos. But if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck  its probably a duck.
Quack!
My husband is something like a a cross between a Jewish version of Tim the Tool man Taylor and Ed Begley. My house as you can imagine is always being worked on, lights are always being mysteriously turned off and strange new appliance show up unannounced.
Most recently my husband had solar panels installed on our roof and when I enthusiastically and supportively  cheered' We're off the grid" my husband said, "not really"
As you can tell I have been a bit reluctant to go "green." But I've come a long way, I planted a vegetable garden in the back yard, and joined a CSA (community supported agriculture). I will be getting a box of fresh locally grown organic food each week.
